BAPTISM
INFANT & OLDER CHILD BAPTISM (birth to 17 years)
Please complete the fillable Registration for Baptism Form, and attach a copy of the child’s birth certificate.
If you reside outside of St. Anthony’s parish boundaries, please obtain a letter from your parish priest confirming that your child may be baptized at St. Anthony’s.
Baptism Preparation Course
New parents or those who have not celebrated Baptism within the last three years are asked to attend a Baptism Preparation class. Godparents are encouraged to attend. Please contact the parish office to register.
Godparent Requirement Guidelines
Only one godparent is required, however, if you choose two, it must be one male and one female.
One Godparent must be a practicing Catholic who has celebrated the Sacraments of Baptism, Holy Communion and Confirmation in the Catholic Church. A copy of the godparents’ Confirmation Certificate or Baptism Record noting the date of Confirmation should be provided with the Request of Baptism form. The Church where the person was Baptized or Confirmed can usually provide a copy on request.
If choosing a second godparent, they may also be Catholic or a validly baptized Christian (this person is considered a “Christian Witness”). A copy of the Baptism Certificate is required.
A godparent must be at least 16 years old.
Celebration of Baptism
Baptisms are generally scheduled on the 1st Saturday of the month at 11:45am and the 3rd Saturday of the month at 11:00am.
Scheduling your Child’s Baptism
Please email a Registration for Baptism Form, together with a copy of the child’s birth certificate, a letter from your parish priest (if required), and all godparents’ sacramental documentation, to sacraments@stanthonysyyc.ca. Once we receive your completed Baptism Request package you will be contacted to schedule an appointment to meet the priest, your Baptism Preparation (if required), and your Baptism Celebration.
FIRST RECONCILIATION AND FIRST EUCHARIST
For Children in grades 2 and up:
To register, please complete the Request for First Reconciliation First Eucharist fillable form and email it together with a copy of your child’s baptismal certificate (only if not baptized at St. Anthony’s) to sacraments@stanthonysyyc.ca. Registrations accepted until September 18, 2026.

CONFIRMATION
CONFIRMATION 2026/2027 – Dependent upon registration
For children in grades 6 and up.
Please note that we will need of minimum of 6 children to register in order to run the program.
English: Monday evenings and 4th Saturday mornings, beginning in January 2027.
Latin: To be confirmed.

ADULT CONFIRMATION
Adult Confirmation program for adults who have been Baptized Catholic and have not received the Sacrament of Confirmation
To register, please complete our Request for Confirmation Adult Fillable Form. and email it together with a copy of your BAPTISM RECORD to sacraments@stanthonysyyc.ca.
Latin Mass: Registrations for this year will be accepted up until September 18, 2026.
Sessions on Saturdays from 12:30 – 1:30pm beginning on September 19, 2026.
English Mass: Four Sessions: To be confirmed January to March 2027
Celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation will take place at the Easter Vigil on Saturday, March 27, 2027 8:00pm St. Anthony’s Church.

RCIA - RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS
For adults who have not been Baptized or who have been Baptized in another faith.
Our RCIA program runs from September to May. To register, please complete our Adult Inquirier Information fillable form.
Latin Sessions:
Saturdays, 12:30 – 1:30pm, St. Anthony’s Parish Hall Meeting Room.
Weekly sessions starting on Saturday, September 19 until December 19, 2026.
Weekly sessions will continue in Jauary 2027 until Pentecost.
English Sessions:
Tuesdays, 7:00pm – 9:00pm, St. Anthony’s Parish Hall Meeting Room.
Weekly sessions starting on Tuesday, September 8 until December 15, 2026.
